Wenta provide free business advice on the StartUp Britain Bus Tour

A big thank you to the National Enterprise Network for inviting us onto the StartUp Britain Bus Tour in Milton Keynes yesterday.

We saw many budding entrepreneurs and business students from local universities mingle with experienced business advisors and local entrepreneurs.

The iconic 1966 Routemaster was located outside Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre and attracted plenty of attention. Passers-by and busy shoppers stopped to have a chat about enterprise in the region whilst local entrepreneurs and business start-ups visited the site to received business help, support and advice.

The University of Buckingham planned their day around the bus and visited with a procession of hungry and ambitious enterprise students who are required to start their own microenterprise as part of their degree.

Shahida Parker, Wenta business advisor was delivering business advice throughout the day: “It was a fantastic day which saw the local community in Milton Keynes connect with business advisors and successful entrepreneurs. The hunger and ambition for enterprise in Milton Keynes was evident through the volume of entrepreneurs that attended and the quality of business ideas they brought.”

Jeremy Green from Wenta was also on-board: “StartUp Britain was a great success. We all very much enjoyed working with local business owners and other enterprise organisations to help and inspire the next generation of Milton Keynes’s entrepreneurs. The event further demonstrates the insatiable appetite that Milton Keynes has for small business success.”

Also in attendance on the bus was Entrepreneurial Spark, 123 Reg, Velocity Growth Hub, Natwest Business Banking, the Prince’s Trust, The Intellectual Property Office and Milton Keynes Council as well as a selection of local entrepreneurs including Daniel Rukare, lecturer at Hult International Business School and Rachael Mallows, founder of The Mallows Company.
