Work Placements for Your Company

As Step coordinators for Herts, Beds and Bucks, it is our job to arrange paid work placements. We are currently recruiting companies, undergraduates and graduates to participate.

The Step programme enables companies to develop their business through the recruitment of bright, intelligent and talented individuals.  Our specialist placement team take the hard work out of identifying and assessing appropriate candidates leaving employers free to manage their businesses.  Placements can operate from 8 to 24 weeks.  Payments are made directly to Wenta so the host company does not have to worry about payroll, tax or NI. 

A graduate for your company

Graduate Programmes are an incredibly cost effective way to get innovative and enthusiastic new blood into an organisation especially in this economic climate when resources are limited.  This scheme allows companies to trial a graduate for 8 to 24 weeks for a potential permanent position with no long term commitment.  At the end of the placement you do not have to employ them.  A company can use the programme as a means of providing a flexible resource to address business needs as they arise.

Placements are available to all small and large companies and to 2008-2012 graduates from British Universities.  Over 30 graduates have been placed by Wenta in the past year and 26 have been offered full-time positions with the host companies.

An undergraduate for your company

Alternatively you could engage with an undergraduate for a specific project for 8 weeks over the summer period. The undergraduate would be in their second year and can undertake specific projects for your organisation.

Examples of undergraduate placements could include:

  • Marketing plans
  • Designs of new product concepts
  • Design and implementation of websites
  • Design of company literature
  • Setting up IT and accountancy systems
  • Data analysis

Wenta have been running this programme since 2004.  Since then 8 out of 10 companies that have participated keep in touch with the undergraduate awaiting for them to join their organisation once they have graduated.
