What a Swine this Flu is!
23 Jul, 2009
In reaction to Swine Flu Wenta are planning on making soap dispensers and disinfectant towels available throughout their Watford site. Chris Holt the site manager explained that:
“Many of our tenants are worried about their staff getting Swine Flu. The health implications are an obvious worry but just the threat of the illness is also having a huge impact on our tenants as many of them are encouraging any employees with flu symptoms to stay away from work. Our tenants, understandably therefore want to do anything they can to prevent their employees getting ill. If by providing the soap dispensers and disinfectant tissues can give our tenants a little reassurance and prevent just one person getting sick then it has been worth it.”
This, however, is not the only thing Wenta have done to help out their tenants this year; they also have not raised their rental prices for 2008/2009 at their business premises in Watford. As a not-for-profit organisation Wenta’s business ethos is to promote enterprise within Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, and it hopes that by keeping the rental prices consistent with those of 2008 will help its tenants fight the current economic climate.
“We too are feeling the pinch” says Wenta Centre Manager Chris Holt, “but we understand that for Wenta to be successful we must do everything in our power to help our tenants and clients have success. As a result we have chosen not to raise our rental prices this year, as we normally do annually to match inflation.”
“By keeping our rental costs fixed on last year’s prices Wenta have been a huge help to us” said John Horsfield the Chief Executive of The Royal Caledonian School Trust, one of Wenta’s tenants in Watford that offer educational grants to the children of served or serving, Scottish armed forces personnel or Scots living in the London area with limited economic resources. “The current war in Afghanistan has greatly increased the number of young service personnel who have been injured and as a result our workload has increased by 25% in the last 6 months. It therefore comes as an enormous relief that Wenta understand the economic strain the credit crunch has had upon its clients and have decided to work with them to help them overcome this difficult time. By not increasing its rental prices Wenta have given us one thing less to worry about.”
This close working relationship Wenta has developed with its tenants reflects how the organisation is more than just a business premises management agency. Wenta also offers a wide range of business advice and courses that are ideal for start-up companies or those that are established and looking to grow. Wenta has over 25 year’s of experience in providing professional advice and when this is added to the virtual services (such as call answering and mail collection and delivery) and meeting and conference room facilities that are available to anyone in the Hertfordshire or Bedfordshire area, it is no wonder that Wenta has such an extensive portfolio of businesses it has helped become successful. This history of successful enterprise development has meant that Wenta has been able to grow and pass on further benefits to its tenants such as offering all of its meeting facilities and services free of charge or at heavily subsidised prices.
