Environmental issues are a factor of everyday life and this Beacon event gets the students involved in how the school manages these issues. In the initial stage of the event the teams are each given a different environmental area to research and audit in the school. The results are then fed back to the other teams and they decide which area they will work on. Using the statistics and information gathered in the audit, students will then make recommendations as to how they believe savings can be made and green issues can be addressed. This is then presented to a panel as a potential change to school policy.
