School leavers are finding it harder to make an impact on the job market in the current climate and many universities are insisting on interviewing candidates as part of the application process. As a result, it is essential that young people understand how to stand out in a crowded place.
Beacon CV and Interview Techniques provides practical exercises that help students realise that their transferrable skills will interest employers and the means to sell them positively. The day includes, turning activities into skills, optimising your CV, covering letters, understanding job descriptions, presentations and interview techniques.
An optional second day will see us putting the students through a formal interview process to give them first hand experience. This includes a group assessment, a written test, a presentation and a competency based 1-2-1 interview.
