Michael joined the Wenta advisory team in November 2001.
Background
After a sales career (leisure/textiles/promotions) Michael started a video production company in South Yorkshire, which he ran for 5 years. This led to freelance consultancy/training delivery with Enterprise Agencies, Business Links which he’s been providing since 1996. Michael has also been involved in the education sector for over 10 years; he runs a training company, sub-licensing financial capability, social enterprise and of course enterprise learning programmes across the country to schools. Michael routinely advises on all start-up aspects, specialising in sales, marketing, business transfer/acquisition and the process of making the transition from self-employment to business ownership.
Role
Michael trys to provide a ‘big picture’ perspective and believes it’s about definitions of happiness. He covers the 3 core business aspects of compliance, financial viability and sales, but it’s hard to separate the personal from the professional. He believes running your own business is life-changing for people and he explores qualities, attributes and values that aid the journey.
Interests
Alternative therapies; Michael occasionally give seminars on how to interpret and make use of dreams; writing; travel (when time permits!), blues/r&b music, theatre and praying the NFL’s Miami Dolphins don’t repeat their 2007 1-15 season.
